Second Shot Course
The course from the cut and soft tee boxes' rolled fairways and excellent greens rolling 13 above the hole and 10 under the hole made for a challenging round. Only drawback was a damaged hole cutter that left a damaged edge on 12 of 18 holes.
Great course, Great Value
Very good golf course to be public and always in equal to or better conditioning than local private courses. Not extemely difficult if you are hitting good tee shots and pins are on flatter parts of the greens but in Sunday tournament conditions look put and expect higher scores all around.
Staff was great
I enjoyed playing this course the pace was excellent not having to wait is a big plus for me course is well manicured I appreciate the friendliness of the staff recommend it to everybody
Best course shape I have seen it in
Fairways plenty of green grass and ball sits up and roughshod not to overly hard to play out of but your ball needs to be in the fairway and greens were just perfect for putting. Best shape I have played on a course in several weeks.
Grand Island
At 6888yds from the tips, this course is very wide open on the whole course except for about 3 holes. The fairways and greens are always in very good shape. The bunkers can be hard. Great course to play!
What a find!
This course is awesome! Greens are fast and true fairways are well mana cured and service was great. A true test of golf for sure. I will definitely be back for more!
Soggy golfer
Course is very open, staff didn't wAnt to interact or answer questions. Greens were being watered and had standing water in some spots. I've heard good things about the course, I guess they were just having an off day.
Very good course
This was a very fun course. The course is in great shape. Greens were in excellent shape. a great value for the money.
Great course for the money
This was my first time playing this course. It is easy to get to and find for a new guy to this area. We were the first players off in the morning and got there early to warm up. The only real negative for me was that their "driving range" is limited to only 150 yards. But that did not detour form the fact that this course is in excellent condition well maintained and has several tee box locations so that golfers of all stages can enjoy the experience. I highly recommend Grand Island to all golfers.
First time
We enjoyed our first round at this course. The staff was friendly and helpful and the course was challenging but fun. Greens were excellent except for a couple with some minor problems.
The course was friendly.
My son and I are just starting out playing for something to do together. As a beginner I found the course to be friendly to play and not frustrating.
Great value for LINKS golf in Albany
I enjoyed my round. Full round in 2hrs 45 minutes. Links golf is fun. Depending on what your drive hits (up slope or down slope), you may get an extra 30-40 yards on a drive.
Good value for the GolfNow price!
For high-handicappers this course is challenging enough to make it fun and not frustrating. The course is well maintained. I had no complaints with the course or the course personnel.
Great Greens!
check in was a breeze.course was in very good condition in spite of a week of heavy rainfall.very good value for the money, would recomend this course to anyone ,of any skill level.
Nice course, great layout
We played this course on a cold, windy March day, with many layers of clothing. Even so, we could appreciate what a nice course it was. On a warmer day, or with less wind, it would be really enjoyable. Greens were fast and true, but challenging. The links layout is different from the usual, making it more open to wind and errant shots. The fairways haven't started growing in yet, but still the course is very playable.
nice course
The course was if very good conditions for winter play. The cheese burger was the size of a half dollar but the bartender was gorgeous.
