Should be called non-fairways of Canton. If you like blind shots, bumpy, inconsistent, and sometimes fast greens, and "fairways" that you'd get a letter from your HOA from if it was your yard then this is the place for you. Otherwise save your money and go elsewhere. Rarely have I played a course and said I'd never go back, this is one of them I would never, ever go back to.

I am returning to the game after 25 years away. So for in the last 12 months I have played 4 coursed in Colorado, 4 in Georgia, King & Bear, Sawgrass and Hyde Park in the Jacksonville area. I love the course at Fairways of Canton. There has been a lot of work done here and the greens are fast and fun to putt but you do need to drive it straight.

I played here last Sunday. The course is in excellent condition. The fairways and greens were nicely cut. The greens were very fast but rolled true. This course is great for the price!

I don't think the two ratings shown are really justified. The course has had a lot of work put into it recently and is in pretty good shape compared to what it has been in the past.

It is a fair course and a good one for the seniors group that I play with. Shot an 87 the last time out.

Absolutely no grass to be found on this course anywhere (other than the greens). Bunkers were inconsistent (some rock hard, others fluffy). Other than the 150 pole, no yardage markers to be found (other than one hole that had a rock painted red to indicate 100 yards),

Clubhouse was nice and the starter was very cordial, even the course marshall was nice when he was yelling at us to increase the pace of our play (we finished in 3:45 and never saw a group in front of us or behind us so why tell us to pick up the pace???).

We were approached in the parking lot after completing our round by a group wanting our golf cart. The group told us that they often run out of carts in the afternoon as they don't have enough carts. Told them "Good Luck" as they took our, almost dead battery, cart out for 18 holes.

All in all, I won't be back, nice attendants and a nice clubhouse won't make up for a very, very disappointing course.
