Situated just north of downtown Gainesville, Chattahoochee Golf Club is the oldest course in northeast Georgia. Robert Trent Jones crafted the classic design but it underwent a major redesign in 2006 that provided all new greens and bunkers as well as a new fairway drainage system. New tee boxes were built with five sets of tees, the longest of which stretch to over 7,000 yards. The best characteristics of the original design were kept in tact but the golf course is now more challenging. Chattahoochee Golf Club sits along the banks of Lake Sidney Lanier. It is nestled amongst mature trees that frame the fast greens and wide fairways. The golf course has become a local favorite over the years and has long been known as one of the best values in the area.
