Golf Club at Cuscowilla a classic example of Coore and Crenshaw's minimalist philosophy
The Golf Club at Cuscowilla is a beautifully designed layout that's a lovely walk in the park, amongst the indigenous flora and fauna, through the wild grasses blowing in the breeze, under tall pines and with plenty of glimpses of the big Lake Oconee.

The Georgia Club in Athens is one of those golf courses that's relatively easy without being boring. It has good length, excellent movement on the fairways and an eclectic mix of risk/reward holes that can make or break you. "It's pretty player-friendly, and that's why a lot of people come back; they know they won't get beaten up," Head Professional Mike O'Malley said. "But if somebody wants to step back to the back tees, it can be a handful."

Jennings Mill Country Club is an excellent Georgia golf course with tight, tree-lined fairways, a lot of mounding and interesting green complexes. A Bob Cupp design, Jennings Mill doesn't quite live up to its sometimes Scottish links comparisons, but it's a fine round of golf.

Oak Grove Island Golf Club is on the island of the same name, a few miles west of I-95 that cuts through the southeast Georgia city of Brunswick. It isn't quite close enough to the ocean to be really included in the "Golden Isles" marketing slogan, and indeed, it's difficult to tell you're even on an island.
