Good value
The course is in pretty good shape. The greens have not come in fully yet.
St. Andrews is a fun course.
Easy Course for Amateur
This course wasn't in too bad of shape considering the recent weather and condition of surrounding courses. My only complaint was the greens...They were recently aerated were very bumpy...Don't go expecting to make many putts. But if you are just going for a good time at a good price, play here. It is short, so if you are a bomber, you will enjoy the course.
Staff is always extremely rude.
Cindy was extremely rude. I will not be back. Apparently they do not need me as a customer. It's a shame, I play golf twice a week and this course is very close to my house.
Good
Perfect for a group of friends that haven't picked a club up in a while, staff great, course not bad, price perfect!
Other negative comments unfounded
I assume the other negative comments were from golfers who play Augusta National. The course is not perfect but a great deal for the money.
Fun course to play, and the price is right.
Have played St Andrew several times, and its a very good course for the $. Greens rolled extremely fast and were in great shape overall.. Pace of play was fine, staff was very friendly... Definitly worth the drive from Marietta...
Great value for the price.
I always enjoy playing this course. The greens were in great shape, and the fairways were good for winter play.
Great value
Course is fun to play , greens need a lot of attention
Very Enjoyable
Took my son here for his birthday and we were surprised with the course. It is one of the nicest all the way around in our area. So nice to play a local course without pounding rocks all day. We took our time and enjoyed everyone we met. No one rushed us and everyone just played their game. There is no doubt about going back. We will be there.
A good course for the money
The course is maintained adequately the staff is very helpful and it is a very good value - the only drawback is that i live close to 40 miles from the course.
Good course to practice on. It has some maintenance issues.
I have played St. Andrews a few times and really enjoy it when I can play quickly. Depending on who is there you can get really good service and the greens are in great shape. some areas around the green are pretty rough and make it difficult to feel like you can hit certain chip shots. Areas of the fairway are so hard you feel like you are hitting off hardpan. Overall, the course for the price is a good value.
Great!!!
The course is in great shape. The staff was very nice. Golfer if you want a great course with afford price St. Andrews is for you.
two hard par 4's and and very scenic
all of us play this course and love it. friendly staff especially cindy.
Marshals need to do better keeping on course play moving along. Never have to wait past tee time to get off first tee.
Marshals need to do better keeping on course play moving along.
Golfers not managed- no course etiquette
Quit after 7 holes, took 2.5 hours. Golfers not managed on course. Course in terrible shape.
I won't play here again!
Where should I start? I took my 14 yr old son with me to play here, first time at this course for both of us. If not for enjoying spending time with him, the day would have been a waste. We picked this cousre based on the great discounted green fee through golfnow.com. The pro shop staff was dismissive and provided no guidance on where to go to get cart, range balls, etc. She assigned us a cart that did not exist in the lot and I had to make a second trip inside the shop.
The range consisted of several artifical matts that were incredibly close to one another. I worried about being hit with a club by the guy next to me when warming up.
The greens on the course are full of something other than putting green turf, my putts bounced off line all day.
The pace of play here was beyond slow, it was painful. I played on a wednesday about 11:30 am and it took over 2.5 hrs to play the front 9 on a very easy course. At the turn I begged the starter to just let me play the front 9 again so I didnt have to follow the ultra slow groups ahead. He did but told me its always like this on tuesdays and wednesdays.
I wont be playing here again regardless of the day of the week.
Pace of play was horrible
Although the course has a few good holes it is not worth the drive from Atlanta. I played at 11:00 on a Wednesday morning and the front nine took three hours to play. There were no marshalls to speed along play and there were at least two groups stacked up on every tee box. I decided not to play the back nine as I did not have another 3 hours to spend. Course conditioning was fair.
Good for a relaxing round
The fairways are wide and suit me quite well as a high handicapper. The terrain is farily level for the most part, and there is water in play on a few of the holes. #4 is the most strategic one on the course.
Can you beat the price?
The course is in better condition than the 20-30$ you will pay the play here. Played a couple times over the past couple months and it is worth the money. Nothing great, but dont expect much for that price.
A local favorite
One of my favorites in area. Course out in the country and very quite area. Has several challenging holes. Sometimes you get the feel that course is "overplayed" but it is maintained very well in areas that count the most (greens/fairways). Can always find a great deal on golfnow which may contribute to the overplayed conditions. Not a place to play at 9Am on a saturaday unless you have plenty of time as play can be slow. Go on a weekday afternoon for best comfortable round of golf. Not a walking course as some hols are 2minites apart even with carts!
