Callahan Golf Links
4991 Reinhardt College ParkwayCallahan Golf Links in Waleska possesses a rich history of more than 150 years of farming and family ownership. Before being converted into a golf course, the site functioned as a farm from the Civil War until World War II. When creating the course, the natural beauty of the landscape was carefully preserved. As its name would suggest, the layout is a true links design with carefully placed pot bunkers and thick cuts of rough. Water is barely present but there are plenty of other challenges throughout that will quickly make you forget that fact. It is gentle enough for beginners but the back tees will challenge more experienced players. Golfers can also work on their short game on the chipping and putting greens or warm up on the driving range. The affordable rates make Callahan Golf Links an excellent value.

If you like rednecks who rush you and have no respect for hitting up on you at every shot and hicks that don't fix their ball marks, then u may like this course.
I used to love this course... affordable, taken care of.. but last few times out, seems over ran buy rednecks who just got kicked out of their house and show up in jeans and wife beater t-shirts...
and they have no golf eticat... they hit right behind you and hope they will push the crap out of you and then.. being a golfer most my life, i pull aside and ask, "would you like to play through?"
then the response i get is even more northwest ga redneck like...
"huh?? yeah... whatever..."...
think i'm only going on certain weekdays when all rednecks are at home beatin there wives...
peace.
