Jekyll Island Golf Club is Georgia's largest public golf facility, offering three 18-hole courses and a nine-hole course. Two of the 18-hole courses, Pine Lakes and Indian Mound, have similar characteristics since they sit side by side. Both are younger than the Oleander, which is considered the toughest of the three and served as host to the Georgia Open for four years. The Indian Mound Course is the shortest of the three at just under 6,500 yards from the back tees but that is not to say you won't run into a fair amount of challenges. The layout features lengthy par 5s that you wouldn't expect given the yardage, and the par 4s offer scoring opportunities for those who take advantage of the short shots into the green. The Indian Mound Course's main challenges are the undulating greens and abundance of sand.

- We love playing at Jekyll. All the courses are beautifully designed and well kept. We like to play in the evening when the animals and birds are abundant. Can't say enough good things about Jekyll courses.Played the course yesterday. Two of the greens were bald and like concrete. Other than that there are lawnmower issues. We waited about 10 minutes for a mower to finish mowing around number 11 green. He refused to yeild to the players trying to tee off until he finished. On the number 12 hole there were two mowers going. One moved to the side, but one continued to mow and criss cross in front of us within range. I guess they are on a schedule? Lots of mowing going on, but few golfers. You'd think the management would figure out why no one is willing to pay to watch guys mowing? If we wanted to watch people mow and listen to lawnmowers running, we could do that at home.
